Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using juliegood.com and engaging Good Creative Media for work. Nothing exotic — fair on both sides.
1. Agreement
By visiting juliegood.com, subscribing to a list, or engaging Good Creative Media LLC (“GCM,” “we,” “us”) for services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. The site
This site publishes writing, audio, music, and professional information about Julie Good and Good Creative Media. Content is provided for information and for readers’ personal, non-commercial use. We try to keep everything accurate and current; we do not guarantee it.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise attributed, all original text, audio, video, graphics, design, and code on this site is owned by Julie Good or Good Creative Media LLC and is protected by U.S. and international copyright. You are welcome to:
- Link to any public page.
- Quote briefly for review, commentary, or teaching, with attribution.
- Share episodes, essays, and music through the provided share buttons and platform links.
You may not republish substantial portions of essays or episodes, use site content to train machine-learning models without permission, or pass off the work as your own. For other uses — licensing, reprint, broadcast — email thisisthegoodlife@juliegood.com.
4. Third-party marks and content
Names and logos of bands, publications, clients, schools, and platforms belong to their respective owners. Their appearance here indicates past work, partnership, or context and does not imply endorsement unless stated.
5. Your submissions
If you send us an email, fill out a form, submit a comment, or otherwise give us content, you represent that it is yours to share and that it isn’t unlawful, defamatory, or infringing. We may use your submission to respond to you, improve the site, or — only with your consent — publish a testimonial. We are not obligated to post, use, or return unsolicited content.
6. Bookings and services
Engagements for consulting, speaking, teaching, music, and creative production are governed by the specific written agreement signed for that engagement. If there is a conflict between these Terms and that agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Quoted rates, timelines, and scopes on the site are illustrative. Actual terms are set in a proposal and contract, and are subject to availability.
7. Disclaimers
The site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free content, or that the site is free of viruses or other harmful code.
Essays, podcast episodes, and public posts are editorial work. They are not professional advice — legal, medical, financial, or otherwise — and should not be relied on as such.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Julie Good and Good Creative Media LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), except for direct damages that cannot be disclaimed by law.
9. External links
The site links to third-party websites and services we find useful or relevant. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Visit them at your own discretion.
10. Prohibited uses
When using the site, please don’t:
- Attempt to breach security, probe for vulnerabilities, or disrupt service.
- Scrape content at volume or use the site to train models without permission.
- Impersonate another person, submit false information, or spam the contact forms.
- Use the site for anything unlawful.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
