Who this is

juliegood.com is the professional site of Julie Good, operating as Good Creative Media LLC, a Texas limited liability company based at 1502 S. Flores St., San Antonio, TX 78204. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “the site,” that’s who we mean.

Questions or requests about your data should go to thisisthegoodlife@juliegood.com.

What we collect

Three buckets, in order of how often they apply:

1. Information you give us directly

When you fill out the contact or booking form, send an email, or subscribe to a list, we collect what you put in the form: typically your name, email address, optional phone number, and the body of your message. If you book a speaking engagement, teaching gig, or creative project, we may later collect the additional details a contract and invoice require.

2. Standard server logs

The site is hosted on managed WordPress infrastructure. Like almost every website on the internet, the server automatically records standard request data . IP address, user agent, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamp . for security, fraud prevention, and performance diagnostics.

3. Analytics and cookies

The site may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (for example, which essays get read, which regions visit, which devices are common). Where analytics cookies are used, they are configured to anonymize IP addresses and to not sell or syndicate your data. You can opt out of most analytics by enabling “Do Not Track” or a browser-level tracker blocker; the site will respect that signal.

What we do with it

  • Answer your message, send a proposal, or schedule a call.
  • Send contracts, invoices, and project communications if we’re working together.
  • Send occasional updates about essays, talks, or music releases. Only if you have opted in, and with a one-click unsubscribe in every email.
  • Keep the site secure, fast, and working.
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax, contract, lawful request).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent lists. We do not trade contact data with partners.

Who sees your information

A narrow circle of service providers touches your data, strictly to run the site and the business:

  • Hosting . the managed WordPress platform that serves this site.
  • Email . the mail provider that delivers transactional mail and any newsletter you’ve opted into.
  • Analytics . an analytics tool, configured privacy-first, to understand traffic in aggregate.
  • Payment processors . for invoicing and bookings, standard industry processors. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Professional advisors . accountant or attorney, when required.

If a service provider changes materially, we update this page.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Delete your information, within the limits of our legal and contractual obligations.
  • Unsubscribe from any list.
  • Stop contacting you.

Email thisisthegoodlife@juliegood.com and we will handle it within a reasonable window . typically within 30 days.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies: some are strictly necessary (logging you in if you’re an admin, keeping forms stable); some are analytics. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break admin features but will not affect normal browsing.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please email and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, current software on the host, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but we try very hard.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, flag the change on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
